Covid-19 Special Edition
Website extra
The latest release of our community magazine is a bumper 40pp Covid-19 Edition. This special edition covers how the East Melbourne and Jolimont community responded to, and was impacted by, the Covid-19 pandemic. This edition brings together an extraordinary number, and breadth of, contributors sharing their experiences. We believe it showcases an extraordinary and powerful community response during this difficult time.
Despite being a bumper issue of a record 40pp, the editors were faced with the unenviable situation of content exceeding space available. Selecting the articles for the print copy was a very difficult decision for the editors.
We thank all our contributors and invite you to enjoy a website exclusive of the articles which did not make it to the print copy:
- ‘The ‘G’ in Pristine Condition Following Football Break’ by Aimee Dawson
- ‘A Month with the Corona Virus’ by Jill Fenwick
- ‘WFH (Working From Home)’ by Terry Henderson
- ‘One Door Closes and Another One Opens’ by Jennie Kerr
- ‘Economic Impact of Covid-19’ by Michele Levine, Gary Morgan & Julian McCrann
- ‘Our Beautiful Yarra Park’ by Angela Mercer
- ‘Zoom Meeting between Lord Mayor and Resident Groups’ by Ian Mitchell
- ‘After Covid-19 do we want to go back to ‘normal’?’ by Ellen Sandell State MP for Melbourne
- ‘Anatomy of a Planning Permit Objection’ by Lynden Wilkie
Jill Fenwick supplied these photos (you’ll never see Punt Road or Bridge Road looking like this again!):
