We welcome donations to enhance the capacity to protect the heritage of East Melbourne and Jolimont and fight inappropriate developments. We have suggested three amounts – $50, $100, or $500. If you would like to donate a different amount send us an email at admin@emg.org.au and we can arrange it with you.
General Membership is open to anyone who lives in East Melbourne or who owns residential property in East Melbourne. Options are individual membership ($60 a year) or household membership, for 2 or more members in the one household ($120) a year.
A concessional fee for Members who have a Commonwealth Pensioners Concession Card or Health Care Card (not just the Commonwealth Seniors Health Card or State Seniors Card), or are full-time students with a tertiary student card. Options are individual membership ($33 a year) or household membership for households with two or more members at least one of whom qualifies for one of the pensioner concessions ($66 a year).
The EMG is keen to encourage membership of all ages and has an introductory membership offer of the $33 concessional rate for young (under 40) members for their first year of membership ($66 for a household with at least one member excluding offspring under 40).
Friends of East Melbourne are individuals who support the purposes of The East Melbourne Group but who do not live, or own residential property, in East Melbourne. The Friends (Associate) fee is $60 a year for an individual, or $120 per household. A concessional fee is not available.
Business members are organisations who support the purposes of The East Melbourne Group and who have an office address in East Melbourne. The fee is $165 for 1 year. Alternatively, you can choose to pay for three years at the current guaranteed price ($495).
